Confirmed from Wildwood Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Wildwood Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,343 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“Well-maintained I just wish there were more continuous hiking trails that had better signage and didn’t get interrupted by having to cross the road to continue.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“This Park is heavily wooded so outside of summer time it will be chilly but it is beautiful.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“it was amazing the park goes on and on and I love all the nature and animals and the walkways are well maintained and great for a peaceful walk.”

I grew up going to this park as a child and I hadn’t been in probably 20 years until a couple of weeks ago. I remember it was my favorite place because of the small waterfall/dam near the playground. We recently went there for some geocaching and just do some local hiking. I found the trails to be very confusing.

My husband and I got married here 7 years ago and it continues to be one of my favorite places in the world. If you've ever wanted to go to a place that literally could not scream "life in the PNW" any louder.... This is the quintessential spot to experience.

Great workout experience to be had. The map shows 20 stations. Some have been taken down or fallen apart. Yet, you can still train strength, agility, flexibility, endurance and explosiveness. Beginners, intermediate and advanced athletes can all benefit from this exercise trail.

I absolutely love this park. Lots of beautiful walking trails. See, I love to hunt for painted rocks #TacomaRocks #PuyallupRocks #PNWRocks & I figure, the more trails, the better chance people have hiding them, therefore the better chance I'll find one.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 15 mentions

“Lots of walking trails, playgrounds, a cool waterfall to enjoy, bathrooms, common spaces with fireplaces, an excercise trail, and more.”
