We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Willow Stream Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This 54-acre park includes an outdoor pool, basketball & tennis courts, picnic areas & bike paths.
What runners say about Willow Stream Park
“Great park, very clean and well kept, the facilities are top notch.”
“Beautiful park that was being well used as I walked through on the trails.”
A nice park that caters to the need of all ages! There is a toddler and big kids play area, a basketball court, baseball fields, area to play soccer, sand volleyball area and bike tracks. The trails are long enough for a nice evening walk and there are picnic shelters and restrooms as well.
Second time going to this park. Plenty of things to do for little children. More on the side of children younger than 7 yesrs old. There is a huge open field for sports like soccer as well as a 1-2+ mile trail for walks, bikes, or maybe even roller skating. My 2 year old rode part of the trail on his peddleless bike.
I like this park and especially the beautiful swimming pool. But I was very- very upset when about 5-6 years ago they basically cut out that whole woody area behind the pool. It was such a nice walking trail with many old trees and shrubs. Now, it's just a tiny island of a couple of dozen trees. The question is WHY?
Great place for kids to snow slide. Enter the park via Farrington Drive rather than Old Checker Road. The sliding hill is too far from Old Checker road parking. You’ll end up walking across the baseball field before reaching the sliding hill.
