Confirmed from Windward Slopes Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly park featuring a playground and tennis courts, plus a paved walking path and trail.
What runners say about Windward Slopes Park
“well kept walking path and land was nicely mowed with rolling hills.”
Great little park ... well kept walking path and land was nicely mowed with rolling hills. I came to hit against the tennis wall, which was separate from the courts and double-sided 👍🏼. From what I could tell of the courts through the wind shield, they are in perfect shape with a nice seating area.
Nice little park. Stopped by and had lunch on our way across the states. Let the kids stretch their legs, walked the short path around the park. Just off the interstate. If your little ones like firetrucks the station is right next to it!!
Great location. It has a nice trail to walk or jog. I enjoy it because it helps me clear my mind.
Walking trail, tennis courts, playground with water misters; a great family place.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
