Confirmed from Wolf Run Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Wolf Run Trail
“Nice trail, some available parking and well maintained.”
“Beautiful, well maintained trail.”
Nice trail, some available parking and well maintained. Only issue is proximity to the road, so it’s a bit noisy. Bring your headphones:)
Beautiful trail. We started at the midpoint parking lot and rode bike south, under the interstate overpass. We went in late spring and the entire path was shaded from the thick cover of trees. It was a nice walkway, with well-kept pea gravel. In that distance, we passed three picnic tables.
Pretty good place for a walk or bike ride. There is an amazing geotrail along here too. Plenty of parking at several points of the trail. The trail base is not quite as good as most rails to trails though. Several benches and picnic tables are available.
Great trail to just enjoy a nice stroll or walking the dog or biking along. The trail is in great shape and is cool to be on even on the hottest days due to the canopy cover on most of it. It can get a bit buggy at times. There are several bridges to cross over along the 4.2 miles from end to end.
