Confirmed from Wolgemuth Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Wolgemuth Park
“Beautiful, well-maintained, quiet, and family friendly.”
“Well manicured grass areas with shade, baseball fields, walking trail and pavillion(available to rent).”
“Playgrounds are accessible for all ages and nice that there is a little hill between the 2-5 and 5-12 playground as a natural barrier for the toddler runners!”
There is a paved walking path following the perimeter of the park. Signs indicate the # of laps needed for the equivalent distance. If you are recovering from knee surgery this is a good place to walk - and you won't have to make way for "Lance Armstrong wannabes" zipping by on their bikes! They don't come here.
Great park! Lots of fun equipment and room for kids to burn off their energy so you can have an earlier bedtime. The park is open with not much shade so be sure to bring the sun block.
It is a great park it has a playground for all ages baseball fields and a track that you can run walk or bike
Safe, clean park. Playgrounds are accessible for all ages and nice that there is a little hill between the 2-5 and 5-12 playground as a natural barrier for the toddler runners! The walking path is smooth and easy to see who's coming from all angles.
Trail conditions & character
“My wife and I take our dog for a walk there a lot and we always see others doing the same, family's having picnics or a friendly baseball game taking place.”
“Well manicured grass areas with shade, baseball fields, walking trail and pavillion(available to rent).”
“Has a nice paved trail, however it does circle the one diamond so it's good to make sure it's clear before batting.”

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
