Wunderlich County Park is a lovely park nestled in Woodside. It's easily accessible from the Bay Area. There is a stable and we saw folks driving in with their own horses and people learning horse riding. The trails go through tall Redwood and Eucalyptus trees. Some of the trails are also marked as equestrian trails.
Pretty cool trails with lush overgrowth. The trails felt a bit like Muir Woods, but had the added bonus of horse stables. There were kids getting horse riding lessons. The one challenge was the small parking lot and no surrounding parking places. If you come at a busy time you may be out of luck.
One of our latest and greatest fines in the south bay area. This is a great place to hike in the shade, and see beautiful horses passing you by. It was such a wonderful place to explore and I’d love to go back again soon. It’s also very quiet and quaint and there was lots of parking on a weekday.
Really awesome trail network that isn’t very crowded. Still plenty of wildlife to be found. Caught 3 fawns standing in the road blocking our path. Also quite a few turkeys as well. On-site parking makes everything easy to access. Can’t wait for the museum to open up again as well.
