Confirmed from Wyomissing Park System's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

“Beautiful park with lots of paved paths and a few unpaved but well traveled paths which lead to the creek.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 5 mentions

“Great place to take a quiet walk with your pets and family.”

I love walking on the museum trail. Is very peaceful and most people are very polite. Everyone say hello and good morning when they see you. Also the park is really quiet once you walk 1 miles away from the museum area toward wawa, is a total of 5.30 miles walk.

Beautiful park with lots of paved paths and a few unpaved but well traveled paths which lead to the creek. Lots of areas to sit and enjoy the scenery.

★★★★★ — Chels , Aug 2022

Really enjoy walking on the grounds around the museum. The trails here at the museum connect to other trails throughout the Wyomissing Park system. The section closest to the museum has recently been repaved it is very smooth to walk on. The area by the museum does have some lighting to walk once it is dark out.

Gorgeous park! I wish more of the unique trees had tags, though. And beware the hemlock along the water and the paved trail -- stem is speckled with purple, and it has branching white flower umbels (some call it queen anne's lace, if that helps identify it)

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller

  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
