Confirmed from 140 Xing Bike Trail North Central Pathway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about 140 Xing Bike Trail North Central Pathway

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (37 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“One of my favorite places to run, beautiful, safe area.”

We are fortunate to have this interesting local bike trail. Starting from the north end, it starts behind the Winchendon YMCA and quickly crosses a bike bridge, following Whitney Pond. Cross Glenallen Road and follow to North Ashburnham Road, where it appears to end. However, go left on N. Ash, and left onto Rt.

Great little ride today on the bikes. We took zephyr with us - he loves to get his exercise in too. He also takes his water bottle. We only did a section of this trail off Rte 140 not very long at all.

Went for a bike ride. They did a beautiful job on this trail. Some of the thin trees closer to the trail are over hanging but was able to get around OK.

★★★★★ — Louise , Apr 2021

Nice quiet path with very little traffic. Beautiful surroundings. I wish there were notations to lead you to the Northern Pathway trail around the corner from the end of this path.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
