Confirmed from AGFC Forrest L. Wood Crowley's Ridge Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Learning center with animals, exhibits & self-guided trails through wetlands, forests & prairies.
What runners say about AGFC Forrest L. Wood Crowley's Ridge Nature Center
“The trails around the nature center are well tended and clean.”
“We highly recommend taking your family here to enjoy this museum and beautiful outdoor scenery.”
Upon a recommendation from a gentleman next to us at the state park, we stopped in for a visit, and it was well worth the drive. The video on the formation of Crowley's Ridge was educational, and well worth its time.
Very well done nature center located on the other side of Craighead Forest Park. The setup is very well done and they have a building with multiple floors of exhibits, including live animals, videos, and more.
Was just visiting Jonesboro for a day to see my boyfriend and wanted something cheap and fun to do. This place was perfect! So fun, yet educational at the same time, and completely free! The trails are clean and the scenery is beautiful! The inside portion is very neat and interesting.
What a great asset to this community! The entry and grounds are immaculate, the staff are helpful (I dropped an earring into a diorama 🙄 and he got it out), and the displays inside were clean, well lit, and informative. Take time to walk as many trails as you can...look for wildlife, you never know what you will see!
