Confirmed from Aldeen Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Aldean Park is a clean family friendly and large park for being in the middle of the city. I love hiking the trails through the forest on the east side of the park. There's a large hill that everyone goes sledding on I. The winter. I see a lot of family's use the shelter to throw party's.

This was a great place. Definitely be stopping out again. I will say that if you're intending to hike wear long pants and close toe shoes as we couldn't experience all the paths we wanted due to tick/poison Ivy concerns (we didn't identify any, but better safe than sorry).

★★★★★ — Wander , Jun 2024

One of my favorite local spots to get some fresh air. The scenery is great, and there’s a good amount of walking paths, which makes it perfect for a quick walk or a longer stroll if you’ve got more time. Everything’s well-kept, and it’s just a peaceful place to clear your head without having to go far.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says

  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
