Confirmed from Alex and Verna Cooke Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Spacious park featuring walking trails, barbecue grills and a playground with slides.
What runners say about Alex and Verna Cooke Park
a place for all those who want to walk or take their children to play or for the elderly with their grandchildren. They have a green area with trees with good shade, grill, roof and grill, tables with benches.
A great park close to home that my Wide, and Daughter like to go to. My daughter and her friends play basketball while my wife and I walk around the park. It's safe. And very spacious.
There are lots of young kid soccer programs in the evenings. The walking trail around the park is nice. There is also a plush area beside the park for exploration.
Very spacious park Alot of running room for the kids. Nice playground equipment. Good place to have a family cookout.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
