Confirmed from Jan Jennings Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park for recreation, with a play area and a pond where ducks are fed.

We recently visited Jan Jennings Park for our baby’s photoshoot, and it turned out to be such a delightful experience. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, surrounded by greenery and open spaces that made us feel instantly relaxed.
Jan Jennings park is playa-centric park shaped like Italy or horse's hind leg in profile view. It has a paved ~1 mile walking/jogging path on the south side and a playground near the middle (near 78th Street). This is a popular spot for evening sports practices for youngsters during the school year.
It's a pretty park, kid friendly. Sometimes you will see kid's sports teams holding practice there. Many people bring their dogs but it's still kid friendly. The lake is beautiful with ducks, fish, and there is a crane that sometimes visits.
Love fishing here although I've never caught anything here, also love just walking my dogs around the pond. It's beautiful and close to my house

“There is a nice walk way and wheelchair accessibility but I only wish it wasn't covered in gravel, most people and my dogs prefer the pavement and the gravel wears down fast.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
