Confirmed from Allanach-Wolf Woodlands' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is a beautiful forest with views of a lake. It's a short out and back hike with varying scenery that keeps you interested.

Awesome little preserve to walk in. It has a butterfly garden where we actually saw a hummingbird moth, so cool. People from 860 rocks on Facebook hide painted stones for others to find,. Quite fun to search for. Nice easy hikes either on dirt path near the water or on a paved road almost halfway through the walk.

Quiet and peaceful place. Very easy to walk here. Trails are well marked and true to the map posted. This is more of a walk than a hike, very enjoyable scenery and flowers around the lake area. The yellow trail into the back is well marked also.

★★★★★ — Laura , May 2020

Very peaceful, quiet place with beautiful scenery and nice, if somewhat short, trails. Active location for painted rocks.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 7 mentions

“nice views, some flowers left with scattered butterflies (probably looks better in spring).”
