Confirmed from Altamont Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“Beautiful park for the kids to play; open grass area for picnic and our valley ball, as I've seen a few times before.”

This hidden gem is my favorite park to take my two boys too. It's well maintained spacious open areas a drinking fountain large and small play structures and a walking path all the way around. All laid out in a neat little circle on the top of a hill over looking the city. Perfect for sunset/ sunrise.

Sunny park, on top of a hill. Two sets of park equipment for different ages. I wish there was better parking.

★★★★☆ — Brianna , Apr 2022

This park was gorgeous and so fun! You can see downtown and mountains from up there, pretty cool. And quite warm on a sunny day. The path was a tad mushy to walk there, but it's definitely a place I will be visiting again.

Amazing hidden gem. It has gated around it but it is open to the public. It has 2 play structures and swings. Good for ages 2 to 9. Large grassy area with a paved path around it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 20 mentions

“Nice park for my 2 year old to play at, pretty nice neighborhood and it's at the top of the Butte so the view on sunny days is amazing!”
