Alton Baker Park is located in downtown Eugene close to the University of Oregon and Austen Stadium. There are a lot of nice walking paths and open areas for all sorts of activities. There is an 18 hole disc golf course that's real fun to play. It's also next to the river so there's always nice wild life.
It's a great park to walk. Right next to the Willamette River, the mixture of green and bubbling clear water create a very nice environment for a walk or bike. Across the bridge is the university of Oregon, and many office buildings. Great area to relax.
Alton Baker Park is easily one of the best spots in the city. Whether you’re looking for a long run on Pre’s Trail, a peaceful walk along the Willamette River, or a spot for a family picnic, this park has it all.
Beautiful public outdoor space! Wandered through a small area while our sons were running the fabulous Pre's Trail. So much variety in the plants and wildlife, especially the waterfowl. There are also art exhibits and a layout of the solar system. Talked to some of the fishermen and saw some large trout.
