Confirmed from Angel Falls Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Visited on a Sunday morning. Best decision ever if you're looking for a quiet trail for exercise, walking your dog, contemplative session or just want to have a relaxing walk by yourself.

★★★★☆ — Chrissy , Nov 2021

Adorable place on a paved path. You can step off the path to go directly to the waterfall. It is not huge, but its very serene and beautiful.

★★★★★ — Sara , Nov 2021

Short, paved trail through the woods. Park benches, waste bins, and dog bag stations throughout. There is a designated trail to the falls themselves or you can also view from a bridge.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
