We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Apollo Park South yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Apollo Park South

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (68 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Very clean and well kept with public washrooms.”

🏃 great for running 2 mentions

“Love coming here for a run or a bike ride.”

Nice park..... If they added some LIGHTS., It would be an awesome park. A lot of people like to walk / laps in the evening or bring there dogs out, #avoidTheHeat or sit and enjoy the evening.. Most suburban parks close around 10pm..

The park property is very nice with large grassy fields for soccer and football, ball fields, a playground, and a walking path. There are bathrooms, but they have never been unlocked in any of the times that I have been there for games, practices, tournaments or for the kids to play.

Very clean and well kept with public washrooms. There's also a 1 mile path that attaches to the cook county trails for a good workout.

★★★★★ — Maurice , Jul 2019

Love coming here for a run or a bike ride. Today was even sweeter getting to see our daughter's first Cross Country meet.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
