Confirmed from Arboretum and Pond's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Arboretum and Pond
“Well maintained, loved seeing all the turtles (my fav).”
“Beautiful trees and flowers, concrete pathways throughout so very wheelchair accessible.”
“Beautiful little place, peaceful place to go sit and pass time.”
This is a beautiful spot for relaxing, photo shoot and walking. We were at a restaurant and wanted to take a few pics. This was a nice spot. I loved to see all the birds, turtles and fish. I wish there were more spots to get really close to the water. The best spot was occupied by a couple already.
Nice park with ducks, unique trees, turtles, fountain, benches to sit and next to shopping area. Trees reflecting in water, Ducks walking around and turtles swimming in the water is pretty cool.
This is a nice quiet place for a walk! Such lovely trees and the sound of the fountain is very relaxing. If you have time, I recommend stopping and trying out the swing that is by the pond. There were turtles, geese, fish and dragonflies!
Great little park behind the Smyrna community center. Great for a quick walk. They hang up Christmas lights during the holidays and it's beautiful.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
