Confirmed from North Cooper Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about North Cooper Lake Park
“beautiful park, but if you're looking to use rollerblades or quad skates on the skate park, it's a bit too small.”
Best MTN park I've been to in years. Blankets may have better/longer trails, but the City of Smyrna has knocked this out of the park with what they had to work with. Happy to live less than two miles away.
I have been to a lot of trails in the Atlanta Metro and this may be the best trail/park to take your children to to learn how to bike and bike better. The small loops that go around the main open area allow for kids to practice their skills and get a little anxiety and adventure in.
The mountain bike trail is fun to go on with your kids. Best if they have a 21 speed bike though. A seven speed may be hard to pedal uphill. There are also three levels of BMX courses, and a concrete pump track, which is a circle of concrete turns and humps. And, of course, a playground.
Nice park, many picnic tables too. Children play area is there. There was a party going on when we visited. There is a lovely community garden too, which is well maintained as well. There are few trails too here, nice ones.
Trail conditions & character
“For those who want to sit out and watch, the course is right next to the picnic pavilion and playground, and restrooms aren't far away.”
“There are also three levels of BMX courses, and a concrete pump track, which is a circle of concrete turns and humps.”
“This place offers plenty of heavily wooded fun trails & a fun pump track with ramps, technical areas for balance and more.”
“Small loop course with multiple challenges, it's also equipped with a bike care station and of course a bike parking station.”
“Beyond that it has a garden, a playground, and one of the best small mountain bike trails I have been to in terms of technical features.”
“Even Whistler level riders will find a little fun here.”
