Confirmed from Arches Rail TRAIL's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Arches Rail TRAIL

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (15 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

what an amazing trail. Great to see the old way the railroad used to travel between hillsboro and Litchfield. Update. We took the trail starting at Brehmer sanctuary in hillsboro. There is more parking at Hillsboro. The trail is sorta mowed. I thing the grass can get tall. It is flat the entire length.

i found this trail on accident while hiking on the Bremer sanctuary trails. It is a nice flat trail through the woods. I have the All trails App and cannot find it on there. I wish I knew how long it is. I hiked today for a hour in and a hour out. I guess I probably got close to the end, not sure.

Its much better to go to the H & B Bremer wildlife sanctuary and park in the designated area there. The trailhead google maps takes you to is a bit wierd. Its at the end of a private drive and there's no real parking there. Great day hike. Wide flat trail surrounded by trees.

Not sure what the other commenter was thinking but it IS “Arches Rail Trail”. Not Arch’s. All press and signage refers to “Arches”. That being said, nice little trail!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
