Beautiful Mississippi! Had the pleasure of guiding a nature hike at this location today. North Mississippi can definitely look like tropical jungle: towering trees, native (and non-native) vines aplenty, luscious honeysuckle, wildflowers, butterflies, verdant ferns and steamy Mississippi loam after the rain!
Easy trail! No special equipment needed — perfect for a quick nature trip, even if you're short on time. The scenery was lovely and we spotted a snake along the way.
Short hike at 1.8 miles but it was a nice, clean trail through the woods.
Ark trail is a beautiful hiking trail that is part of a conservation and education project in north Mississippi. You can sign up for a free guided tour of the trail to learn about local wildlife and native plants. I highly recommend visiting this local gem if you love nature trails or want to learn more about the area.
