Confirmed from Armstrong Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring sports fields, playgrounds and a floor hockey rink.

A Beautiful Large park! So many things to do here! Multiple playgrounds in different areas. Basketball court. Volleyball court (with sand) Large baseball fields. Nature Wildflowers throughout. Well-maintained trails and bridges. Beautiful scenery and clean creek!
A really nice park to check out. They have clean restrooms and a nice path to walk or bike. They also have fields for sports.
Decent park, very nice pickle ball courts and basketball court. Within walking distance to the library which is a nice way to grab a book and read at the park. The only negative thing i have to say is what everyone else is saying. The parking lot is waaaaay to far from the baseball fields.
I go here a few times a week to walk my dog, but a lot of people ride their bikes through it, partly because it connects to Mitchell Lakes and Veterans Park behind the Village Center. Armstrong is nicely paved with lots of Great Blue Heron, Great Egrets, and Mallard ducks in the mini-marshes on its south side.
Trail conditions & character
“There is a small playground near the South parking lot, but there is so much bigger playground all the way at the opposite end of the park.”
“Beautiful park with great playgrounds, baseball, tennis and pickle ball courts pls clean bathroom!”
“The park has paved paths, but not a lot of shade, so go early if you're walking dogs.”
“There are a lot of paved pathways, a big river, a pond, a few soccer goals, a couple baseball fields, a few trees, a couple of paved hockey rings, & several jungle gyms.”
“Beautiful park with great playgrounds, baseball, tennis and pickle ball courts pls clean bathroom!”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
