Confirmed from Barbara O'Rahilly Volunteer Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Barbara O'Rahilly Volunteer Park
“There is also a walk/bike path, a bike tire pump in case of a flat, a park for the kids, doggie poop bags free of charge, and everything is kept mowed and in great condition.”
I absolutely love this park. I take my sisters dogs at least once a week. There's an obstacle couse where I train them and they get more exercise that way as well! There is a "Stick Library" where you can borrow a stick to throw for the dogs as well.
Nice little park with a playground and gazebo. The bike trail runs past it and through nearby Bark Park and Red Hawk park before joining the county-wide bike path.
Clean park with updated playground. Has grills, pavilion, and bocce courts. Connects to bike path and is a short walk from a dog park.
This is a great venue for a small family celebration or just to let the little ones run and play.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
