We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Artillery Row Walking Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Walk-through of artillery pieces and air defense weapons dating back 200 years, with placards for historical context.
What runners say about Artillery Row Walking Trail
We took a day trip to Lawton, Ok to familiarize ourselves with the area. To our surprise there was a museum on Ft.Sill and being as it was Memorial day weekend it was a natural fit to explore. The machinery is well maintained, marked and the history on display for all to see around a well maintained walking trail.
Artillery Row is an amazing place for anyone who likes military history. Including the Museum the trail is attached to, it has over 200 years of artillery history on display from cannons used in the revolution and civil wars, right up to modern high tech rockets, missiles and artillery pieces.
It's free, plenty of parking. Good walk thru historic artillery and air defense pieces. Each piece has a plaque providing details.
