Confirmed from Lake Lawtonka Dam's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a lake where visitors can hike, fish, and bike.
What runners say about Lake Lawtonka Dam
“Very beautiful right next to medicine park and wonderful hiking trails”
“Super Sweet views , and a both peaceful & serene to escape and talk to the loved ones that have left us and are on the other side.”
This is a nice place to visit to see the views of Lake Lawtonka and Medicine Park. If you find yourself there without many other people, it can be very peaceful. There is a decent parking lot at the east end of the dam. There are trails on the west end of the dam you can hike or get closer to the water.
I was nervous walking over that metal grate but it's secure. Amazing views and short trails near by
Cool views of mt scott and medicine park here. there is parking right at the entrance to the walkway that crosses the dam. great place to bring kids. and there are hiking trails on both sides of the dam walkway.
There’s a dam here that’s honestly way too high — I didn’t even dare walk across it 😳 Even with the steel structure, it still feels intimidating… just too high!!
