Confirmed from Ashford Glen Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Ashford Glen Preserve

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (36 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“We saw the beautiful pictures and reviews for Ashford Glen Reserve and since neither of us had been decided to come here.”

This preserve is located in a neighborhood. It is a very short trail, straight in and straight out (no loop). This would be an easy hike to do with younger kids/toddlers. Not much to see, but a relaxing walk for those that want a shorter trail.

Its a beautiful little nature trail by far. Quite the sight to see without a doubt. Thankfully pretty close to home also which is an added bonus in my opinion. My only complaint as is for a lot of people who come to check this place out is that it is a tiny trail.

★★★★★ — Jessica , Sep 2018

Lovely short walk with a great view of a steep ravine. It was so green! Moss covered pathways and shade keep the understory down, so less contact with ticks. Waze gave incorrect directions to a side of the preserve with no access. This walk feels like deep woods but it's surrounded by residential property.

My son and I were looking for places nearby to go for a hike on Mother’s Day. We saw the beautiful pictures and reviews for Ashford Glen Reserve and since neither of us had been decided to come here. The entrance is off of a residential street however parking was easy.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
