Confirmed from Auburndale TECO Trail South Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great trail, lots of shade and runs alongside a large park. This trailhead has full facilities including a water bottle refill station and lots of parking. If you're going north you do have to cross a 4-lane divided highway with no traffic signals or flashing pedestrian beacons, so use caution.

★★★★☆ — Joseph , Sep 2023

Great way to connect to the 30 mile Van Fleet trail. The southern Van Fleet trail head does not have a bathroom which is why I would recommend to come here if you are biking long distance. Pavement is smooth and road crossings are decent.

★★★★★ — Nathan , Feb 2024

Beautiful trail. Five stars but it needs more benches with shade and garbage cans another bath room. Its a long hot trail on foot

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 18 mentions

“2 separate areas for smaller and larger dogs and they even have 2 kiddie pools set out for the dogs who love water!”
