Confirmed from Audubon Wetlands Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a wetland area, picnic tables, a bridge, and native Ohio plants.
What runners say about Audubon Wetlands Preserve
“There’s a nice bench that’s hidden and picturesque, perfect for creating the unplanned pregnancy of your heart’s content.”
Larger than we thought and lots of wet spots. Great swampland and also borders on Jerome Fork River. We did a 2 mile hike here and also a 2.12 mile hike at Fireman's cabin today. We are planning on walking all 18 Ashland County Parks this year.
This is a small trail located in Ashland Ohio. The wetlands are fascinating to see, specifically in the spring and summer months. Along the way are marshes and a river which provide some excellent photo opportunities.
Pretty nice little trail system. It's wetland so be prepared for the mosquitoes. Jogged there and 2 laps is around 3.4 miles. Mostly mowed grass with a few wooden Bridges and walkways.
I was in Ashland for the first time and selected this preserve after eating lunch to walk with a friend. Negatives: no restrooms; lots of poison ivy, even within trail areas; loud highway noise on a large portion of the trail; mosquitoes and deer flies (although that is to be expected at this time of year).
