Went for the pickleball courts. They had great nets. And enough lines for four courts. Only disappointment would be the fact that there wasn't enough fencing with wind blocking. So it was super hard to play when it was breezy out. But other than that, it's off the beaten path and very pretty.
Bakersfield Park is the finest park in Port Huron Township. It is at the very end of Strawberry Lane on the Black River. It has a nice walking trail and the park is dog friendly, but your dog must be on a leash. Bags are provided to clean up after your pooch.
Nice, quiet park with a few, necessary amenities (covered tables & Port-o-Potty) as well as plenty of wide open grass and trails with river access and boat (and kayak) launch and plenty of parking. Peaceful and quiet. Great for picnics.
Docking facility, walking path, tennis courts, fishing areas and cut fields. There is access to a marina and they drive through too fast. There is a county work area to avoid. A few paths that ORVs use. Way too many ticks in the spring
