Confirmed from Balsamroot Trail: Informal Public Access' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve where visitors can hike, bike, and observe flowers.
What runners say about Balsamroot Trail: Informal Public Access
Not much of a hiker really but this trail is well maintained and rather under used. You will probably have some of the trail to yourself depending on day and time you go.
A great little foothills trail that provides wonderful views of the valley!
perfection in early spring when flowers are all in bloom, turns pretty dusty & hot during summer as most trails are exposed. oh yeah, and also be on the lookout for snakes. most are beginner / advanced beginner trails, but all are fun.
This is a great trail for walking, running, biking, photography, and exploring. Today the road was a little muddy and snowy at the top but was still worth it.
Trail conditions & character
“Get out and bike glacier view trail, green circle difficulty but fun for experinced riders too”
