Confirmed from Barnhart Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“It's a beautiful place to have a family barbecue, and feel safe allowing your children to play safely.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“I gave only 4 stars because outside of the pavilion, not one bench is in the shade, making it a big rough on parents who want to keep close and also relax a bit.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Great park for all ages and race, plenty for the little ones to play on cushioned ground ,in gates areas.”

New splash pad put in and gated. Sprinklers rotate which one goes on. Bathrooms available, older kids playground and younger under 5 playground. Has swings and plenty of space to run around on grass. Also turf fields to run and play on as well. Follow @exponentialexperiences for more places to check out.

I love Barnhart Park in Sleepy Hollow. There are always kids and other people in the park whenever you go. There are 2 play areas and they are very big. Even they have a separate play area with water sprays. Plus there is a basketball court, volleyball court and place to play soccer.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 6 mentions

“Free street parking, free splash pad, two different gated playgrounds that are separately gated.”
