We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Barstow Woods yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Barstow Woods
“Lots of trails and some beautiful views.”
This is an awesome park to bring your dog to in you live in or are traveling through the Midland, MI area. It has been adopted by the Midland dog walking community and volunteers bring jugs of water and bowls. It is over 20 acres in size with a forested area and a large grass field.
Great dog park area it’s huge trails all throughout the wooded areas the park is fenced in as well. Everyone I’ve met so far has been amazing and friendly as well as their dogs. I take my dog nearly every day. People share by bringing water jugs to give to the dogs there.
By far the best dog park in midland and surrounding areas. There's trails as well as plenty of grass space to run around. Picnic tables and water also available for the dogs!
Awesome place to walk in a huge grassy field or through the woods on wide, open trails. Great for letting your dog(s) run free.
