We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Midland Tridge Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Midland Tridge Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (47 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

The trail was nicely paved except in a couple of places where there were nasty bumps in the pavement. I would have given the trail a 5 otherwise. There are plenty of bathrooms ( Porta potty type) but few places for water so bring plenty. Nice benches and tunnels. There is a brew pub 😎 on the trail.

★★★★☆ — Star , Sep 2023

Safe place to run, walk, bike, longboard, rollerblade, whatever. Its well maintained and pretty. I would avoid it at night.

★★★★★ — Cingano , Aug 2016

Great park to visit. Trails go to chipawa nature center or follow the rail trial great for biking.

★★★★★ — Jason , Apr 2022

The Pere-Marquette Rail Trail is one of the nicest bike paths in the central-Michigan area. Portions of this trail are plowed and salted for continued use all throughout the winter and it's location close to downtown makes it a convenient place to meet up with friends.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
