Confirmed from Bartram Forest Wildlife Management Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wildlife refuge, forest and parkland offering miles of trails for biking, walking and hiking.
What runners say about Bartram Forest Wildlife Management Area
“Wonderful place for a long walk in nature, not very rigorous but quite beautiful, one of my personal Favorite spots in Milledgeville”
Great land to hike, bike, or walk. You can spend as little or as long out there as you want - The trails are plentiful.
Plenty of trails to explore, but could be swampy in some places (note: visited in mid-January). At one point the wide rocky path was obstructed by a stream. Pretty lake and some cool plants, but a lot of managed pine tracts, which isn't necessarily my favorite thing for a scenic hike.
A great place to hike. There's a lake and picnick area when you first pass the gate. one side of the forest is forest with thick trees and a stream, the other side is very different with less tree cover and a massive patch of wild blackberries. I love the place.
Beautiful area. It's not the same as when I was a kid because of some logging that happened but they have a biking trail and several hiking trails all through a very lovely forested area.
