Confirmed from Bass Ponds Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tranquil area with trails, ponds and creeks, plus bird-watching and fishing.
What runners say about Bass Ponds Trail
“Beautiful area, active streams (looking clean) and maintained main and secondary trails, bridges and trail marker signs.”
“Very quiet with lots of wildlife including mallards, wood ducks, herons, and fish.”
Cannot believe this is so close to MOA and the airport. It was so peaceful, quiet, and full of wildlife. If you’re looking for a nice, longer walk, this is highly recommended especially for the location of it. Hidden gem!
Very scenic, but its a long down hill walk to get to the trails. For an old disabled guy - its the coming back up that hurts. There are handicap access toilets at the bottom of the hill. But no benches along the paths. We seen two fishing docks on different ponds. And around 3:30 the bluegills were surface feeding.
The trails here were really great. Variety of different kinds ranging from easy to hard and novice(paved) to expert(off road). At the begining of the trail head close to the parking lot their is this mural painted on the side of this water treatment facility and it's so unusual if anyone had any insight as to what it…
Very great place to hike and fish. Always busy and crowded on the weekends though....
