Confirmed from Battle Creek Upper Afton's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This sizable greenspace features picnicking, walking trails, an off-leash dog park & play areas.
What runners say about Battle Creek Upper Afton
“Beautiful surroundings anytime of year, creative play areas and regular playground equipment too.”
“Beautiful park and great for all ages.”
At the park they have areas for kids to spend time and enjoy themselves, parents have the option of useing the grills and have little picnics. I personally went here today with my dog to the dog 'park', the only reason I wouldn't reffer to it as a dog park is because it is fenced in walk so dogs can't run, you must…
Nice park with walking trails, highway scenery stop a few different kiddo parks and the waterworks splash pad and pool. Fun for family get the family to barbecue and use one of the sheltered areas with benches, grills, park ect..
We love this park/playground area. Beautiful surroundings anytime of year, creative play areas and regular playground equipment too. Nice walking trails and plenty of picnic tables around the park
This is a great park! We are usually here for the dog park and it's the best we've ever visited. The space is HUGE and there are enough hills and small lakes and other dogs to keep my pup running hard the entire time.
Trail conditions & character
“This dog park is quite large, with a lot of intertwining paths, several open spaces, and at least two places dogs can swim.”
“I like hiking Battle Creek because there is a paved path for days I don't feel like walking in the mud and plenty of non-paved paths for the other day's.”
“Beautiful surroundings anytime of year, creative play areas and regular playground equipment too.”
“There are requirements of bring baby's, dogs aren't required to have a positive relationship towards baby's to be there so you should have them in a stroller of some sorts.”
