What an amazing place to walk and visit. Yes, it was cold but the views are breathtaking. You forget you are on Long Island. There is even a cafe called the Hidden Oak Cafe and a Tea Room. Tell em Barsnobs sent ya!
The first time I visited was fall. Then I visited again in Spring. Different seasons have different impression but all beautiful. .. Attached a few pictures for your enjoyment 😊 It's a state park so you pay$8 admission. However, it's free today... Probably it's off season?
Lovely gardens with magnificent shrubs, trees and flowers. Nice walking paths, and picturesque settings to sit, rest, relax and take in the beauty. The cafe in premises is convenient and a nice spot to grab a bite or refreshing beverage.
Absolutely a very beautiful place, very clean and well kept, plenty of bathrooms around. The trails are very peaceful with plenty of opportunities to take really good photos, and to inhale fresh air. There are both I guess you could say semi paved, and dirt pathways, so you can basically choose your adventures.
