Confirmed from Bear Hollow Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Bear Hollow Trails
Okay, this may be a long review. My friend and I went on this trail this evening with a stroller. It was HELL. Should we have know better? Maybe. However, the trail is cool. Just isn’t very wide. It isn’t stroller friendly unless you have a stroller that’s made for that terrain. Lots of tree roots on the ground.
It was tough to find the trail head because the entrance on Maps was incorrect. The place was really lovely, and not crowded. It'll was a *very* rugged trail, with multiple stream crossings and numerous fallen trees. We needed both hands and feet to get up out of the lower part (there's a rope that helped a lot).
Pretty 40 minute loop, downhill and then up, with a convenient rope assist at the end. Several difficult detours recently due to fallen trees.
A good woodland trail, a little rough and crosses a low running stream at certain points so be prepared for that. Some portions were a bit difficult to follow but otherwise a nice place for a mostly easy hike.
Trail conditions & character
“They also have a rope to use to climb up the hill at the end that is really steep.”
“My friend and I went on this trail this evening with a stroller.”

- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
