Confirmed from Bear Trap Creek Bikeway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Dog-friendly, mostly paved, trail stretching 1.65 miles from 7th North to Kmart Plaza that's popular with cyclists.
What runners say about Bear Trap Creek Bikeway
Hidden gem perfect place for a walk jog or a bike ride just feels a bit uneasy since no one is there and you have the high way on one side and the woods on the other side. Safe area but feels a bit off but I would recommend it in groups
Convenient place to take a walk or a bike ride, it's really a shame they haven't fixed the fence, some of it has needed repair pre-covid there's no excuse for that but still a nice Trail.
Came in from Columbia,TN for a reunion and decided to revisit the trail after many years of absence. Much nicer than I remember.
Nice walking trail that is well kept 1.7 miles from one end to the other.
Trail conditions & character
“Good bike path or place to walk dog just noisy due to being next to highway”
“Short paved trail, some buckles in places to watch for.”

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
