Confirmed from Bedford Heritage Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Easy to find, portapotty at parking lot, kids were happy walking/biking, few nice views of the water. There was a spot that veered off the trail closer to the water with a picnic table. Limited shade on the trails so sunscreen recommended!

I was early for an appointment and needed a place to take a walk. I googled and found this,, with a small parking area.. Very pretty and easy one mile walking trail. Seems well used, but not crowded. I continued a second mile before returning. 2nd mile was fine, less traveled and not quite as pretty.

Love going here if you want to take a nice trail walk with your pups and see some nice scenery! This is one of the only places I've gone that iv run in to respectful owners that have leashes on there dogs which is a big deal when I go anywhere to watch for! ( My life and work is dogs lol)

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says

  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
