Quiet, Uncrowded Trails
A quiet trail is what you want for intervals, for anything that needs focus, and for running with a dog away from the busiest paths — nobody wants to weave through walkers and cyclists in the middle of a rep. Crowding is mostly a function of timing: the same multi-use path can be empty at 6am and shoulder to shoulder on a Saturday afternoon. It genuinely cuts both ways, though, because plenty of runners deliberately pick the busy path — running alone, early, or after dark, other people around are the safety feature. Busy and quiet are facts about a trail, not a score.
