Confirmed from Behrens Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Behrens Woods

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (39 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“I would like to come back in a couple of months when the bare trees have developed some beautiful new green leaves because I know it will be gorgeous!”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Quiet, peaceful, definitely your space to reconnect whit nature.”

This is a small little nature escape in the city. It's 2-acres of mostly undeveloped territory. There are a few wood chip trails amongst a heavily wooded forest like setting.

★★★★★ — Cynthia , Mar 2024

Nice little park tucked away down the hill from Bella Vista. Not very large, but seldom crowded in my experience. A great place to sit in peace for a while. Relatively close to Highway 14, but the traffic noise really isn't bad at all. Recommended.

★★★★☆ — Luke , Oct 2019

Nice shaded paths, large moss covered rocks. I've never seen it crowded. Relaxing short walks. Some undergrowth if you leave the trail.

★★★★☆ — Rodney , Jun 2018

Nice little walking path cut through the trees. Perfect little slice of nature in the suburbs. 2 loops around the main trail got me about 1200 steps. Lots of poison ivy & oak so definitely be mindful if bringing children or pets

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🌳 Shaded / tree cover 4 mentions

“This small, fully-wooded park has several trails through it which include great features like boulders and fallen trees to climb on.”
