Confirmed from Bell's Gap Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Bell's Gap Trail
“This is an out and back trail up a well maintained path that has a gentle but continuous grade for over 2+ miles.”
“, Beautiful gotta go back”
This is a nice, low-grade trail for hiking, biking, and right now, cross country skiing. I locate a lot of good birds there. The trail's biggest drawback is that the first mile closely travels a road.
This is an out and back trail up a well maintained path that has a gentle but continuous grade for over 2+ miles. We walked to just past the 2 mile marker and turned around at the picnic pavilion. Horse riders can use the tail (didn’t see any) and so to do joggers and cyclists.
Its not a steep hill but its about two and a quarter miles of smooth trail and turns into wooded where you will need orange in hunting season.peacefull and shady.
Flat easy to walk I went at top through state game land 185. , Beautiful gotta go back
