Confirmed from Ben Fisher Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park offering a playground, picnic tables, and a basketball court, plus a bike path.
What runners say about Ben Fisher Park
Great little park for toddlers and younger kids, but there is NO shade… so don’t go on a hot day.
An unpretentious park with good creekside habitat for winter passerine birding and a well-maintained basketball court and playgrounds. The walking trail around the back could use some grading.
Rode from Govalle park in Austin to here! What a great trail and connectivity for the community. The bicycle path leading into the park is a little tight and I would recommend expanding it!
Great park with access to the new bike trail. Kind of hard to find though. Tip: It’s behind the library, drive through the opened fence.
Trail conditions & character
“They paved a new cement path that is being used as a bike & walk path, looks like they're working on opening the bathroom, more changes may take place.”
“There's green everywhere, birds chirping, occasional dog(s) typically with owner, I've seen a cat in the foliage.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
