Confirmed from Ben Gill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Community park with sports facilities including softball & tennis as well as a reservable pavilion.
What runners say about Ben Gill Park
“I personally haven't had the opportunity to try the pool or water slides, but everything seems to be clean and well kept.”
“The ones at the pavilion are beautiful, but the one in the middle of the baseball fields is dilapidated and dirty.”
“A pollinator garden or wildflower area would also be a wonderful addition as well as more shade trees (remember to plant natives!”
Fantastic park, I love walking my dog here as well as observing wildlife. Tons of untouched forest as well which is fabulous for wildlife enthusiasts. If you are into entomology also a great place to collect and catalog insects.
This was a surprise find in Terrell, TX. This is a big park that has multiple kid play areas, a walking/running/biking trail. There is a pond with ducks to feed with sitting benches around. If you want to fish, it's catch and release only.
Lots of shade from the trees, some bleachers to sit down on if you need, a restroom. There was a game going on when we went to the park so we could hear the the announcers over the stadium speakers.
Great place to take your kiddos to play, fish, looks like they've installed some disc golf baskets as well, has walking paths and restrooms and a covered pavilion for parties and gatherings for large parties of needed. Has 2 separate playgrounds, awesome basketball courts and even a public swimming pool.
