Confirmed from Berthusen Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“Trails were mostly well maintained.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Beautiful and really cinematic at dusk it has a great variety of small easy to walk forest trails and a lovely playset for kids including some the tallest swings I have ever seen.”

Nice place to visit, have a family picnic, or just go for a wonderful walk. The trails are really nice!!

Nice destination for a walk in the woods. It was a great fall day - the shelters were busy with picnicking by the time we left. But it felt pretty uncrowded on the trails. The trails/signs were a bit challenging to follow compared to other parks we walk in. But it's not a big park so it didn't matter.

★★★★☆ — Susan , Nov 2023

Great place for a walk, with many wide, fairly flat (albeit unpaved) trails which are easy to walk on. It's so peaceful walking through many old, very tall trees and lush undergrowth. There are lots of parking spaces, numerous picnic tables, and also playground equipment for the kids. Restrooms are clean!

★★★★☆ — Denise , Oct 2022

Hubby was working and staying near by. He brought me here and he knows me very well. I love nature and trees. This place has very nice trails and there’s lush ferns all around with large trees. It had very clean and fresh air. There is a picnic area and restrooms are very clean.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
