Confirmed from Big Dry Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park with a playground, picnic areas with grills, sports fields, and trails, plus a dog park.
What runners say about Big Dry Creek Park
“However people don't clean up after their dog so much, but my dogs are happy.”
“Beautiful park with lots to do for the whole family.”
“Other dog parks we'll walk in and because my boy is a pitty everyone leaves shortly after.”
Nice park. I did the bike trail. It has great views of the mountains. It also has way too many prairie dogs and rabbits.
Really enjoyable park. Nice parking, great grass, nice shade, drinking fountains are operational. 10/10 would reccomend
First time to the area, and I'm so glad I found this park for a run. The views are amazing and wildlife fun to watch.
The best dog park. There are others closer but the people that come here are chill and welcoming. Other dog parks we'll walk in and because my boy is a pitty everyone leaves shortly after. Plenty of places to sit. Usually fairly clean.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
