Confirmed from E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (3,424 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

“Plenty of amenities in the park, cool sculptures and history, convenient location to the trail that goes to the other side of the interstate, and some great views of the lake.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Very nice a peaceful and definitely love it.”

A beautiful park with a great lake full of wildlife. We were surrounded by baby geese and the kids loved it. Excellent shelter options for rent and other than a large amount of unhoused people on the grounds of the park it's very scenic.

This was my second year visiting this park while visiting Colorado. Super cute family park. I came in for a walk on a weekend and the park was busy but open enough to take a nice walk. They have a lot of local art around the park that you can snap a picture and go to the website to vote.

★★★★★ — Yadira , Oct 2025

This park was so quiet and lovely. Plenty of amenities in the park, cool sculptures and history, convenient location to the trail that goes to the other side of the interstate, and some great views of the lake. Good place to walk and throw some ball with the dog too.

★★★★★ — Nikolai , Nov 2024

Convenient to hotels nearby. Nice urban park with a little pond for paddle boats, a walking path which includes a footbridge over the pond, skate park, playground, and art installations along the way.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
