Confirmed from Bill Allen Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Bill Allen Memorial Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (410 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“The park is really clean and lot of great things to do like play basketbaall, frisbee golf, child recreation, small get together, etc.”

This park is just 20 minutes walking from my home, clean, a lot of trees and green areas absolutely perfect for family time, really fresh for the summer, planning to visit again with more time

Cool disc golf course. Might want to watch your head if your just hiking the trail, cause golfers play by hole numbers. So if you enter the trail from another access other then the starting point... you take a chance of getting nailed in the head by a disc. O and take plenty of fluids for hydration...

Very cool park! Lots of trails, creeks, ponds, playground, little free library, picnic tables, ball fields, and a very big disc golf course. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was due to a lack of signage on the disc golf course - many holes were missing their markers with where the hole you're throwing at is, but…

My family and I love walking down to Bill Allen Memorial Park. There is a pavilion, basketball court, kids playground, amphitheater, walking trails, fishing hole, and a disc golf course. Very beautiful and usually not too busy.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
