Confirmed from Bill Cooke Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Park is awesome. It has a nice and clean playground for the kids. The walking track is awesome with a nice view. It has a dog park for the dogs. It has a tennis court for people who wants to play tennis. It's just a nice play and safe play to relax. That's why I keep coming back.

Great all-around family, dog, sports, walking, biking park. They have a large gated dog park. Plenty of parking. Shade from the trees. Some outdoor fitness spots. A one mile walking and biking paved path. Also, a nature trail.

Has nice playground for children. Clear trail to walk or hike. Picnic tables and grill. Clean and always OPEN to public restrooms It's also a nice place to bring your dog to play in the dog park. Best of all are the abundance of shade trees feels very cool at the picnic shelters ...

★★★★★ — Lynne , Jun 2026

A very good dog park. Two sides from which to choose, water available during warmer months, and the biggest dog park I've found in the area. It would be great if a gravel walking path were added so the humans could walk safely around while the dogs run and play.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Bill Cooke Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
